The Seiko Presage SARX series is one of the gems Seiko released for the Japanese home market for a long time. They are now also available in Europe. The Presage SARX line is also known as the Baby Grand Seiko. And not as often as this honorary title is awarded to the SARB series (wrongly).

Because although the SARX and SARB series use the same timepieces, the finishing level is really a step higher with the SARX series. Trust me, I've had both the SARB and the SARX in my collection. I personally find the SARX series dangerously close to Grand Seiko, so beautifully finished.

This magnificent Presage SARX with its blue hands is almost unworn. The white sunburst dial is very beautiful. The heavy quality link bracelet is in very nice condition without any scratches. The SARX033 are also fairly rare Seiko's, also because they are no longer made. Full set, box & papers.

There's nothing more to tell about the King Quartz line of Seiko other then that they are very cool watches with excellent movements. This King Quartz has a bit of military gauge feel to its design. The indices almost look like a instrument readout of elevation for plane. There's a pillow shaped inner bezel on the dial making it mysterious. Another intriguing thing to this watch is the fact that the glass is slightly rounded. Which is quite uncommon to the whole Seiko line.

The steel bracelet is original to this watch and feels firm and looks great. All functions working perfectly.

  • Functions: hour, minute, seconds.
  • deviation: ± 8 seconds per day

This particular KS model is a bit different then most KS cases made that period of time. It's not pillow shaped but has hidden lugs which makes this watch looks a bit bigger than most KS'es. The snowflake white metallic dial has tiny dark specks, this is NOT due to dial damage but intended. The 28.800 hibeat movement is a workhorse used widely by Seiko across several qualities. But make no mistake it's as good as it's GS siblings.

This movement has been fully overhauled February 2020 and fitted with steel date wheel. This nice King Seiko has heavy quality bracelet with a KS clasp. The crown does not have a KS logo accordingly this particular model. It's just a very cool KS with a magnificent silver white snowflake dial.

  • deviation: ± 8 seconds per day

Omega cal. 1480/1481 is one of the few movements developed jointly by Omega and Tissot in the early 1970s. Omega produced the 17 (1480) and 21 jewel (1481) variants, while Tissot produced only 21 jewel variant under the designation 2481.

This is a very beautiful Omega Geneve. Recently this Omega has had a complete overhaul and is now tiptop shape. The Geneve is considered to be an affordable Omega Automatic. Which it is especially considering that this is watch with a true Omega movement, even if it has been co=produced by Tissot. Just a really nice watch and runs perfectly. Original band and all links, fits all wrists. With its 36mm it just fits the perfect vintage diameter of watches, making it a true gem. The dial has a warm white/sand colour.

Bulova was founded and incorporated as the J. Bulova Company in 1875 by Bohemian immigrant Joseph Bulova, who settled in New York, USA. Bulova is a currently owned by Japanese conglomerate Citizen Watch Co (from 2007). It manufactures watches and clocks and is based in New York City. Bulova made innovations in watch making, and developed a number of watch making tools.

A famous infamous diver from Bulova, the Snorkel 666Feet. A cool diving watch with an cool nickname, The devil Diver. This automatic watch runs beautifully because of the recent clean and oil service. The patina from the bezel even makes it a cooler looking watch. Unfortunately the bezel doesn't rotate, previous owner (or before that) has glued it on the case. I do not know why but it doesn't matter that much, the watch is no more waterproof, so actual diving is not in question. The original president bracelet is in good shape, as is the case.

While the Seiko Superior was the top of its class, second to this quality was the Seiko QT line. The Seiko QT line is a bit of a dark horse in the Seiko line-up because it sat between the Superior and Grand Quartz line and was discontinued after 3 years. Actually the QT series where the renamed Superior with single quartz technology. Most people don't know about these gems, which is good for the true Seiko aficionado. Also they are quite rare, hard to find. The movement in these QT are 8 or 9 jewels most of the time and very good serviceable.

This might have been one of the last timepieces where Seiko  had a very complicated construction for all the movement elements. The stepper motor can, for example, be detached as a module, easy for maintenance, complex to make. Usually they are enclosed in the gearwheel compartment. Anyway, this QT has the usual wear marks such as small scratches. The steel Bambi band is not original but it is a nice vintage compliment to this silvery white QT. This QT is serviced (cleaned & oiled).

This beautiful Grand Seiko has a HiBeat 28.8000 movement that has been fully serviced (clean and oiled) and it runs at a pretty 8 seconds per day plus/minus. The warm white dial is spotless and just beautiful. Because of the lighting it might look if the dial has a tropical burn. It is NOT a tropical burn or anything else, the dial is perfect no discolouration. No damage what so ever. The case seems it has had a light polishing by previous owner but done properly because the lines are still quite sharp. Also the 14k GS seal on the case back is in excellent shape. The genuine Seiko leather band is a new and makes this watch a very cool GS. The Seiko & GS icons aren't mirror shiny anymore but still look very sharp. The glass has a light scratch. Will be shipped in a generic Seiko box.

The Grand Quartz is only 8 mm thick and sports a new genuine Seiko leather band. The dial is just perfect and the watch runs perfectly.  Not much to tell but this GQ houses the almost perfect 99 quartz caliber what set the new bar for accuracy of quartz watches in the early 80's.

Grand Seiko… A resounding name that Seiko has developed over the years into a stand-alone luxury watch brand. The Grand Seiko's from the sixties were supplemented in the early 70s with very ingenious quartz timepieces. Always ground breaking design combined with innovative movements sparkled with a superb attention to detail.

This beautiful Grand Seiko has a 36.000 movement that has been fully serviced (clean and oiled) and it runs at a pretty 7 seconds per day plus/minus. The sunburst white dial is just beautiful. It has a very light warm white feel to it.

SEIKO ELNIX SG - 0723 - 6000

  • Stainless Steel
  • Electric mechanical technology
  • Ø 37 mm (ex crown)
  • Functions: hour, minute, seconds,
day & date (all works properly).
  • deviation: ± 5 seconds per day
  • no box/no papers/no warranty

The Elnix is Seiko's answer made in period of time trying to achieve a continuous wound movement. It's a solution that lived between the mechanical period and infamous 'Quartz Wars' (spoken with a Darth Vader voice over Star Wars music). The Elnix has been available for about 2 or 3 years before it was discontinued. The clever solution Seiko came up with to achieve continuous movement was a balance wheel fitted with a magnet suspended between two coils. A relay made sure the current was applied with the correct interval and direction and voilà your movement was powered by a battery instead of a mainspring. Making the balance wheel rock back and forth like see-saw. This nice Elnix has NOS case and bracelet. The clasp however does have some damage, not sure why this happend. I'm guessing store model. The movement however is not NOS (swapped from a working SG) but works perfectly. This SG has nice faceted glas with a tiny scratch (again store model).

Through almost the same miracle I could buy back this Lemon Face which I sold in the same period when I sold the LC 0664. Again thinking these watches where plenty available... NOT! When i was searching for the LC 0664 I found also a battered Lemon Face and could source the movement and LCD screen. Making this buy back redundant. Well, not redundant but available to you my Seiko friends. I'm putting this one up for sale. Again this Lemon Face is mint and has a new LCD screen 3 years back. The movement is in crisp, perfect state, as is the case & bracelet. Fully original. Super RARE!
